Start the phone activation

To activate your Office by phone, follow the steps below.

1. Open any Office application like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
2. If you are not already prompted for a product key, go to the “File” menu and click on “Account” at the bottom of the navigation pane.
3. Under “Product Information”, click on “Activate Product”.
4. Choose “I have a product key” and enter your product key.
5. You will then be prompted to choose how you want to activate your software. Choose “I want to activate the software by telephone” instead of “Internet”.

Make the call

Once you have your Installation ID, you’re ready to make the call to Ms' automated activation service.

1. In the “Activate office over the telephone” window, select the country or region you are calling from. It will then display a toll-free number that you can call. Most countries have a number with a free call at the expense of Ms.
2. Dial the toll-free number and follow the automated prompts.
3. When asked, enter the Installation ID using your phone’s keypad.
4. Listen carefully to the automated system. It will provide you with a Confirmation ID once it verifies your Installation ID.
5. Keep a pen and paper handy to write down the Confirmation ID.

Enter the confirmation ID

1. After you’ve received your Confirmation ID from the automated phone system, you’ll need to enter it into the Ms Office activation wizard to complete the activation process.
2. Return to the “Activate office over the telephone” window on your computer, where you previously found your Installation ID.
3. You’ll see a series of empty fields labeled for the Confirmation ID (A to H). Carefully enter the Confirmation ID that you noted down during the phone call.
4. Once all the fields are filled, click on the “Next” button to finalize the activation.

If everything was entered correctly, a message will appear confirming the successful activation of your Ms Office product. You can now close the activation window and enjoy all the features of your Ms Office suite.
